  Rev. Dr. Millie Johnson, Chair

Dr. Millie Johnson is a woman who loves the Lord with all her heart. She believes in faith over fear. Dr. Johnson is an ordained minister and serves as an associate minister and worship leader at Triumph Church. Millie is married to Deacon Charles Johnson,
who is a former police detective with the City of Pittsburgh Bureau of Police, and a Master Sergeant with the Pennsylvania Air National Guard. They have three beautiful children, Charles, Josiah and Moriah.
Dr. Johnson has an extensive background in criminal justice and law enforcement as an officer, supervisor, instructor, and volunteer chaplain with the City of Pittsburgh Bureau of Police. Dr Johnson is also a tenured professor at Geneva College and a part-time professor with Robert Morris University and Penn State University.
Dr. Johnson's credentials also include more than 20 years of experience in a variety of
community-facing positions in education, community development, community
ministry and community outreach, where she has had consistent success in developing
and delivering a wide variety of programs and initiatives.
Dr. Johnson is a certified life coach with Performance Protocol for law enforcement
along with serving as a national instructor with the Active Bystandership for Law
Enforcement (ABLE) program with Georgetown University and a national instructor
for Heroes in Active Bystandership for Corrections. She is currently enrolled in the
Called Coach Institute to become a certified Biblical Life Coach for women.
Dr. Johnson’s hobbies include early mornings of walking, exercising and spending
time in prayer with God. She also enjoys spending time with family along with
reading, writing and watching the Hallmark channel.

Min. Ella C. Scales, Vice-Chair

Minister Ella C. Scales is a life-long member of the Union Baptist Church of Swissvale where she was licensed to preach the gospel in 2015. She serves as the minister of Evangelism and Outreach. She is also a part of the music ministry; sings in the choir and serves on the Worship and Celebration team, as well as the Prison Ministry. 

Community volunteer- Currently serves on Christian Life Skills Board of Directors. Participates in organizing Community Outreach Sunday, Clothing Drives, and since the coronavirus, Door to Door Food Box Deliveries as part of the Outreach Ministry at Union Baptist Church of Swissvale. As a representative for UBC, Ella serves on the Board of Directors of Pennsylvania Interfaith Impact Network (PIIN) and former Vice- President of PIIN and serves on the Swissvale Ministerium. A prior member of the Board of Directors for the Second Harvest Food Bank of Mahoning Valley now serves on its Finance Committee. 

A native of Swissvale, Pennsylvania, Ella currently resides in Boardman, Ohio with Leroy, her husband over 40 years. They have 4 adult children: Amber, Leland Lacy and Les; 1 son-in –law, Nathan, 2 daughters-in-law; Weldianne and Tiffany. They are also the proud grandparents of eight; Aniyah S., Amirah, Aniyah W., Ahmir, Nathan, Nehemiah, Noah and Liam.
