Christian Life Skills recently hosted a special outreach event in partnership with Union Baptist Church of Swissvale! It was an amazing day full of team building activities, mentoring, and inspiring conversations. This event was the perfect opportunity for Christian Life Skills to make a positive difference in the lives of youth and mentors.
What is Christian Life Skills?
Christian Life Skills is a nonprofit organization that provides teaching, training, mentoring, nurturing, modeling, and networking services to children, youth, adults, and families in churches, educational institutions and community settings. Our mission is to equip people to live spiritually healthy and productive lives. This event at Sky Zone was just one example of Christian Life Skills’ commitment to making the world a better place by helping others reach their full potential.
What Happened at Sky Zone?
At the Sky Zone Outreach Event with Union Baptist Church of Swissvale on June 15th, 2020 there were plenty of activities for everyone involved. Guests could enjoy Trampoline Dodgeball or 3-D Glow Golf while they got to know each other better as mentor-mentee pairs. It was also a great opportunity for guests to meet new people! Between all the games and activities happening around them throughout the day, it was easy for guests to strike up conversations with someone new that shared similar interests.
The Power of Mentorship
One important aspect of this event was the strong emphasis on mentorship that Christian Life Skills encourages between its mentors and mentees. Mentors act as role models and provide guidance for their mentees as they help them navigate life’s challenges together. At this event specifically, mentors helped their mentees understand how important it is to be honest about what you believe in order to be successful in life’s endeavors – whether it’s schoolwork or sports or any number of other things! The relationship between mentor and mentee can have a lasting impact on both parties’ lives if done correctly – so events like these are incredibly valuable opportunities for everyone involved!
The Sky Zone Outreach Event with Union Baptist Church of Swissvale was an incredibly successful day thanks to everyone who participated! It was a great opportunity for Christian Life Skills to continue doing what we do best – making an impactful difference in people’s lives through teaching, training and networking services provided in church settings.
